I haven't been here for weeks again, so I thought it's time for another update :)
Everything is going just fine tho'. Weeks are flying by although I still suffer of the terrible tiredness. I've had to take some time off from work every now and then as the weeks and long days just feel way too exhausting for me, so I need my rest. I'm counting the weeks to go now and when I can finally start my nearly 3 week Xmas holiday! Still 3 weeks to go at work... this week I was away again resting. I got it off from my doctor who I went to see for the first time at the health care clinic. What a horrible day that turned out to be as she made bad comments about my weight gain :( I felt really crap even I haven't eaten hardly any sweet things, but just real food as I've been terribly hungry!! I told about it to my nurse later and she said as long as I'm not eating junk food etc. it's all fine and I'll get rid of after the pregnancy is over and when I start to breast feed, so I shouldn't worry! But it sure ruined my day big time and I felt very miserable :( Well I've been trying to have long walks this week and eat less, so we'll see what happens... but it's not like I can keep myself in hunger either, uh? That surely wouldn't be good for our baby either!!!!!! Well she wasn't a specialised doctor, just a usual GP, so what does she know???? I hope I won't have to see her again :(
I'm going on week 26+3 right now. Feels so strange to think half way is gone a long time ago and that there are less than 100 days to go now, wow!!!! Still 2nd March feels so far away, but I know once I start my maternity leave (officially 26th January), time will fly by at home! I haven't really thought about the labour yet or anything. Sure it's on my mind and whether I can give birth normal way or will it be a C-section, but we'll see that later on week 36 or so at the hospital I assume. I haven't updated anymore my pregnancy calendar simply because I've lost all the bad symptoms that were going on for weeks in the beginning, so there's nothing much to tell. Just the damn tiredness and sometimes some back ache after sitting for too long at work, but it's very, very mild and goes away as soon as I start walking. I've had to given up taking part to all long meetings and seminars tho' as I simply cannot sit for such a long time staying still or without eating for hours, but LOL I don't miss that at all ;))
Pikkuinen as we call her in Finnish (means Little One in English, but the Finnish word sounds cuter I think) has been kicking for weeks (or I have felt them and moves too) for weeks now. It's so funny and amazing :) At first it seemed like she was a little wheeler moving here and there, but now when weeks have gone by the moves have changed to more determined and stronger too. It's fun to follow what are her favorite positions too and when she likes to rest and sleep and when she feels most active :)
"Week 27: fetus in seventh month Your not-so-tiny-anymore brilliant baby(about 2 pounds and 14.5 inches long!) is slowly rotating in preparation to “head out.” Obviously, this doesn’t happen overnight, but when you start to feel an unfamiliar pressure on your cervix, you’ll know you’ve got a fully flipped baby locked and loaded for the countdown to their birthday! Even now, at the beginning of the third trimester, their little lungs are already capable of breathing air while the pulmonary vascular system can provide sufficient gas exchange and the central nervous system can generally regulate rhythmic breathing as well as their basal body temperature. For what it’s worth, at this point in a healthy pregnancy a premature child (with intensive care) could easily win on the show: “Survivor: The Early Years.”"
